Hand sanitizers that you find in the store have been found to be very harmful and can contribute to antibiotic resistance. Many hand sanitizers today are made with triclosan. This antibacterial has been found in animal studies to disrupt hormone function. It has also been connected to the rise of the so-called “superbugs”—bacteria and viruses that can resist antibiotics. The CDC announced in 2013 that the rise of superbugs (as a result of overuse of antibiotics) was a serious threat to human health, and had caused at least 23,000 deaths that year.

An alternative to store bought harmful sanitizers is doTERRA On Guard hand cleansing spray. It is an easy and convenient way to clean your hands. Keep a bottle in your purse, car, or office for any time you need it. Beautifully blended with orange, clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary. I included the link below so you can add this vital oil to your collection.
